Cranleigh Abu Dhabi are proud to present the first entirely Arabic spoken production.
This has been a collaboration between the Arabic and Performing Arts departments. Dance, music and visual theatrical elements intertwine with the Arabic narration, to enable the production to be accessible to a multi-cultural audience. When undertaking this project, we looked for a starting point that was exciting, engaging and grounded in the Middle East. The story of Ibn Battuta was ideal. His spirit of curiosity, adventure and discovery entirely echo the skills valued at Cranleigh Abu Dhabi. Taking a 30-year journey and condensing it into a short production was challenging. In this performance, we pay tribute to Ibn Battuta and aim to encapsulate his sense of adventure. We hope you enjoy this creative collaboration, celebrating an inspirational explorer.
