Emirati non-profit organization that rescues animals from neglected and abused situations, relocates surrendered animals to good homes and educates the UAE about animal welfare.
Every PARA Rescue pet is evaluated individually, and we take the time to get to know each and every one. Every pet has a unique personality based on their genetics, background experiences, training, and environment. We make every effort to place PARA pets into home environments best suited for their individual temperament and needs, and the most compatible with the expectations and lifestyle of the adoptive family. We put a lot of care and thought into the adoption process.
It is absolutely vital to us that we match the right pet to the right home. This is why we do a week long trial where the family takes the pet home for a full week to make sure they are the right fit before committing to the adoption. During the week trial, our adoption counselor is available to help every step of the way to make the transition as smooth as possible. We also offer life long support for each of our dogs if their families need advice, recommendations etc. If at any point in the dog’s life it does not work out, we REQUIRE our dogs to come back to us to ensure that they are never at risk in a shelter or in a bad situation. We are committed to each of our dogs and puppies for their lifetime!
Every pet our rescue organization accepts will be spayed/neutered, treated for parasites, checked and treated for any medical conditions, provided dental work if needed, microchipped, and given all vaccinations. Our cost to save and treat one dog easily exceeds the adoption fee of AED 2,000. Your adoption fees go toward the cost of each pet receives under PARA Rescue care. The cost to feed a dog for a month ranges between AED 100 – 300. There is also the cost of transporting the animals to a from vet appointments, toys, treats, bedding, and other necessities that we provide for our pets.
Those of us who do rescue truly do it for our love of the animals. It’s obvious there’s no money to be made in rescue work. Families adopting a rescued animal are not only saving a life, but getting a great value. To buy a pet from a breeder and then provide the pet with all of its basic medical and health needs costs well over AED 4,000.
We rely on donations, grants and loyal supporters to continue our rescue mission, since providing immediate and ongoing care for our rescued animal population costs far more than what we make in adoption fees. We do not get any federal funding. If you are able to make a contribution to us by donating food, supplies or hosting a foster animal, we are truly grateful!
