Britzer Garten

The Britzer Garden in the south of Berlin is not only for flowers and garden lovers a great pleasure

This excellent green area impresses a broad audience with its variety. Hardly any other park changes its face so strongly over the seasons. The special shows in spring and late summer, which spoil the eye with a colorful sea of tulips and dahlias, are among the highlights in the Berlin event calendar. Restaurants, cafes, a milk bar and numerous kiosks offer a rich culinary range of offers.

Events in the Britzer garden

Long is also the list of events that take place from March to October in the park. These include the Mid-Summer festival in June, the flying and kite festival in autumn and the classical concert "Feuerblume" with fireworks in August. A special feature is the park library with extensive literature on the subjects such as nature, plants, garden and landscapes.

With children in the Britzer garden

Especially children's hearts beat faster in the Britzer Garden. For the little ones, there is a spectacular playground, in which nature extremes of the earth can be experienced in a sensible way, for example in the large sandy area "Sahara" or in the jungle made of bamboo. Cooling is provided by shady rocks and water showers. During the summer holidays, the brickearth village "Makunaima" also attracts into the playing area: clay buildings will be built here under expert guidance. The playing area is located near the Tauernallee entrance.

Another attraction for children is the water playground, where especially the smallest ones can splash and play in the summer.

The paradise for the young water lovers lies in the so-called "Blütenachse". There is also an animal enclosure with sheep, goats, rabbits and donkeys as well as a bee house, which can be visited on Sundays (at 2.00-4.00 pm). There is also a miniature golf course at the entrance to the "Blütenachse". In addition to the wide range of leisure activities, of course, plants are the focus of attention in the park.

Restrictions exist only in three ways:

• No dogs are allowed on the area;

• Bicycles are not allowed, and;

• You must not to bath in the lake.
