Görlitzer Park

Görlitzer Park is a large public park in the Kreuzberg district with lawns for sunbathing, sport fields and playgrounds

The park was laid out in the late 1980s and early 1990s on the grounds of the former Görlitzer Bahnhof station between Wiener Straße and Görlitzer Straße in the eastern part of Kreuzberg. Today only a few remaining tracks, remains of a pedestrian tunnel and three converted freight sheds remind visitors of the park's history.

Görlitzer Park features

Görlitzer Park has several spacious lawns for sunbathing, picnics and recreation, a pond, sports grounds and playgrounds and even a small children's farm near Glogauer Straße with donkeys, goats, sheep and rabbits. At Wiener Straße an indoor swimming pool, the so-called "Spreewaldbad" offers refreshment and fun especially for families. The park has also a designated grill area where locals gather and enjoy a good barbecue with friends or relatives.
