Discover museums with Jugend im Museum
JiM has been bringing art and culture into the leisure time of children and adolescents for more than 40 years. The association encourages creativity through the encounter with Berlin museums.
The special feature: discovery tours through exhibitions are combined with artistic workshops: with JiM children and young people can paint, draw, do pottery, work on wood or design sculptures, photograph or make fashion.
JiM opens the way to cultural education with exciting offers for leisure time, kindergarten and school.
Children are collectors and explorers, they are researchers and tinkerers.
Their efforts to take on the world meets in the museum on particularly intense breeding ground. Jugend im Museum e.V. offers children and young people aged between 4-18 a varied program of events that inspires them to discover Berlin's museums.
Inspired by the treasures of the exhibitions, children can practically try out and learn how to process what they have seen and integrate it into everyday life at workshops. At the same time, experienced course instructors will accompany them. A particular feature of the work of the association is the combination of reception of art and transfer of knowledge in the exhibitions and own creative action at workshops. Here, the artistic experiment is becoming more and more important.
