The Jugend Museum is located in a Gründerzeit villa in the historic center Schöneberg.
The Jugend Museum emerged in 1995 from the regional historical work of the Schöneberg Museum. This is a communal institution and together with the Schöneberg Museum and the Tempelhof-Museum it's the part of the district authority Tempelhof-Schöneberg.
The Jugend Museum aims to reach primarily children and young people aged between 10-18 years, but it also offers attractive programs for pre-school children, families and people with special needs. The Jugend Museum attaches much importance to diversity, inclusiveness and mutual respect.
The Jugend Museum provides an intercultural experience with many real objects and real life stories. The museum enables its visitors an interest-oriented access to history.
The museum makes experiments with new forms of learning and encourage visitors to become active: as a researcher in urban settings, in scenic play and creative figures. For school classes changing model projects will be developed. They encourage to learn history and discuss current topics.
