The children's farm Pinke-Panke is an open pedagogically supervised playground for schoolchildren aged between 7 and 14 years.
The children's farm Pinke-Panke transports the flair, the attractions and play opportunities of the rural area directly into the city. It is especially important in this context to promote the physical, mental-emotional and social potential of children. Animals play a key role here.
The children's farm:
• expands the youthful socialization framework in addition to school and family;
• supports the personality development;
• has a diverse range of fields of experience;
• is a place for social meeting and integration.
The guiding principle
The guiding principle is: journey is the goal. The work at the children's farm is characterized by volunteering, changeability, diversity and openness. Not perfection is required, but experiment and play. The children's farm Pinke-Panke is a kid's place designed by them.
Fields of experience
Children's farm Pinke-Panke is a social and ecological learning place for young people, which is run by highly qualified staff. The carers are advisors and partners of the children.The children's farm is open for all interested children, adolescents and adults.
It is a place for adventure and play, but also for interpersonal meetings and joint projects. By looking after the animals and observing the nature, the children get to know natural cycles and connections. In direct contact with the natural elements the children gain primary experience.
Creativity, teaching knowledge and skills will be encouraged in a playful way by trying out old craft techniques. As a result, the children elicit a great enthusiasm for what they do and develop self-confidence.
In addition, the children's farm Pinke-Panke promotes the child's motor skills and sharpens the sensory perception.
Country life in the big city, animals to touch, building as in former times and cooking in an open fire are just some of the offers made for children and adults at the children's farm Pinke-Panke. A large playhouse with kitchen, games and craft room and sanitary area is already planned. All buildings are built in traditional architecture as wooden buildings, as half-timbered construction with clay or as mud houses.
