Klingendes Museum Berlin

Music to touch, try out and experience!

"Music to touch, try out and experience!" - this is the motto of the Klingendes Museum in Berlin e.V., a not-for-profit association which aimed to provide  children and teenagers with easy and direct access to professional orchestra instruments. Every day numerous school classes, kindergarten groups and adults visit the Klingendes Museum Berlin in order to experience up close, to get to know and to try musical instruments. At the weekend, many families come to the open workshops and children's birthday parties.

Sounding mobile

The sounding mobile - music on the wheels!

The sounding mobile - a colorfully decorated bus - with over 50 instruments on board visits schools, kindergartens, social organizations and events in Berlin and across Germany. Music educators carry out on-site workshops and invite all participants to get to know the variety of orchestral instruments and to try them out. Initially it was the colorful double-decker bus, which interior space was available for the numerous instruments and there was an open platform for open-air concerts on the upper floor. Since 2007, the large double-decker bus has been replaced with a similarly colorful VW bus. In such a way schoolchildren groups or seniors, for which a journey to the Klingendes Museum is not possible, can join music workshops.
