Even before its foundation in 1990, the present restaurant in Doysenstraße could look back on a long gastronomic tradition. Meanwhile the restaurant Charlottchen has been developed into a cross-generational cultural meeting place. Its name emerged from a name-finding competition, the winner of a word symbiosis from the district of Charlottenburg and the childish belittlement "-chen".
