The Mirakulum Theater has been presenting puppet productions for a three-generation audience since 1991 and this is one of the most attractive and authentic puppet theater in Berlin
It's director, Thomas Mierau (living in Berlin since 1979) - also an entrepreneur and all-round puppeteer with professional apprenticeship - works as a director, author, outfitter and lecturer. Conceptual approach of his own pieces is the idea of synthesis of the arts in the tradition of the solo puppeteer, who tells stories with the aesthetic means of puppet play and who also creates the technical - artistic basis for it. Many years of professional experience help him to inspire and attract children and adults equally as serious spectators.
His repertoire includes 19 productions for children and 4 for adults, which are evaluated by press and experts as artistically individual, pedagogically extraordinarily valuable and masterfully mature. The techniques are versatile. The offer ranges from the hand puppet, the marionette to the shadow or color scheme - performance. Fairy tales, fables, stories of everyday life and shows offer spectators from the age of three, four, five and seven, as well as adults, age-specific topics and content.
