Calligrapher Au Yeung Fat has devoted herself to practising, teaching and studying calligraphy. For many years, she has created works continuously. She advocates the integration of calligraphy into daily life, and set up ‘Tranquil Studio’, which promotes calligraphic art together with self-cultivation.

Looking at Ms. Au Yeung’s calligraphy, it is not difficult to see the vigorous movements of her brushstrokes, which convey indescribable joy and excitement. Indeed, Ms Au Yeung has developed a unique style. Be it the composition, flow, or individual brushwork, her works show a great sense of rhythm. To highlight her signature style, her students named this exhibition “Dance with Ink".

As a nonconformist, Ms Au Yeung has never stopped pursuing innovation in her artistic creation. She likes to combine various styles and the handwritings of different masters in a single work, based on which she would add new ideas. This eclectic spirit prompted Ms. Au Yeung to co-organize this calligraphy exhibition with famous florist Kendrick So, combining calligraphy and floral arrangement to present a new art viewing experience to the public.
