Suspended Habitat (Textile/Metal, 3D)

Manipulating metal wire, linear shapes, wrapping and more. Informed by the work of Tomoko Sauvage, you will explore the making of a pair of three-dimensional structures using two binding techniques! You will twirl and bend your wire and dress the mobiles with fabric and thread creating your own animal habitat; nest or cocoon. What will your constructed mobile structure resemble?
My Secret Garden (Oils, Texture Painting)
14-15 Feb OR 21-23 Feb
Colourful! Fresh! Floral! Dynamic bursts of colours, curves of petals and jagged stalks are all influences found in the work Claude Monet the inspiration for this workshop. You will design your own canvas full of colour and movement. Refresh and rejuvenate your skills with a palette knife and your oil painting techniques with the arrival of Spring.
