Visit Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden and learn all about Wild Boar.
The male Wild Boar is a solitary animal outside its breeding season (between November and January), but females and juveniles live in groups.
During the winter, they will come out of the forest and search for food digging soil over with their strong snouts. They search for plant roots and worms. They may sometimes come to drink at the wildlife pond at night. The presence of wild boar can also be detected by the mess created by their rooting behaviour along the forest trails.
