The Pinakothek der Moderne is the museum for art, graphics, architecture and design. The unique variety of exhibitions is accompanied by an extensive, inspiring programme of events and art education. Visitors experience a place of sensual and intellectual pleasure, a place to encounter, discover and explore – in the heart of the Kunstareal München.

The Pinakothek der Moderne is a repository and memory of the art and design of the 20th and 21st centuries and at the same time a forum for discussion on contemporary themes and trends. The basis for this is formed by it's four historically grown collections, which are constantly being expanded and digitally indexed. The Pinakothek der Moderne, a stimulating, complex and open place, invites you to actively participate.
