The World of Julia Donaldson in Nature

The World of Julia Donaldson in Nature

Come and immerse your child and yourself in the world of Julia Donaldson in Nature this December holiday.

Based on the Reggio Emilia philosophy, this holiday programme focuses on child-led learning and hands-on activities in a natural environment.

The books associated with each session are as follows:

  • Week 1. Inspired by “What the Ladybird Heard?”

Campers will go on a scavenger hunt searching for animals on a story map, make a farm and their own ladybird, and engage in mud sensory play and nature arts and crafts.

  • Week 2. Inspired by “Room on the Broom”

Campers will make a magic potion with butterfly blue pea, make a broom using materials from nature and make a witch face from loose parts.

  • Week 3. Inspired by “The Gruffalo’s Child”

Campers will use recyclables to make a Gruffalo, learn about shadows, make a mouse using loose parts, and engage in snow sensory play to make a Christmas globe.

  • Week 4. Inspired by “The Stickman”

Campers will make their own stickman using natural loose parts, do a snowman.
