Shekinah Montessori House has been providing quality pre-school education since 1999 for children from 18 months to 6 years old.

Parents can choose various forms of services, such as childcare, kindergarten and enrichment programmes that are anchored with the methods and beliefs set forth by the world renowned Dr. Maria Montessori.

In their unique approach to early childhood education, they have integrated ‘Project Approach discussion’ into their Montessori curriculum. This bold deviation from ‘pure’ Montessori has proven to be effective, as their kindergarten children are intellectually ready to explain, discuss, debate and even argue their ideas with one another. It allows active social interaction among the children and through this they gained mutual respect and develop pro-social behaviour.

Programmes:

Montessori Explorer (2-3 yrs old) - This group of toddlers from two to three years old are encouraged to explore their environment. Activities are aimed to cultivate the children's language and social development as well as to enhance their gross and fine motor skills.
Montessori Achiever (3-4yrs old) - This comprehensive Montessori programme is for children aged three to four years old. The prepared environment in the preschool allows children the freedom to learn and carry out this activity in a peaceful and orderly manner. It aims to nurture the children’s independence, self-esteem and self-discipline while introducing them to the basics of academics.
Montessori Kinder Junior (5 yrs old) - This programme caters for children aged four to five years old. The students are given various activities to hone their skills not only in Language and Math, but also provide them with opportunities to encourage creative thinking.
Montessori Kinder Genius (6yrs old) - This programme gives focus on building strong reading skills, understanding math concepts, enhancing listening and communication skills and training young students to be independent learners. Shekinah Montessori is confident that upon completion of the programme, your child will be well prepared for primary education.
Parent-Toddler Class - Shekinah Montessori offers a 60-minute parent and child class for toddlers aged 18 months to 2.5 years. Led by a trained Montessori Teacher, this programme is filled with fun activities such as story telling, art and craft and cookery lesson that both the parent and toddler will enjoy. It's a perfect introduction to a more structured or longer programme.
Reading Programme - The Montessori reading scheme is a unique phonetic reading programme that steadily builds reading confidence and ability. They offer a 90-minute reading programme which aims to develop strong foundation in phonics and word building exercise. Eventually, the young learners will work on complex grammar lessons and master creative writing.
