ChildFirst Pragrammes:
- Programmes for 18 months to 6 years old - At ChildFirst, in their full-day pre-school, your child has the benefit of more time for learning and social interaction with children of the same age. Beyond academics, it is vital that your child is socially and emotionally ready too. Academically competent with a love for learning and equipped with good social and emotional skills, your child will be ready for Primary school. More importantly, their learning journey at ChildFirst Pre-school will be fun!
- Pre-Nursery for 18 months to 2 years old - Their Pre-Nursery class is filled with magical discoveries, developmental achievements, strides in independence and a multitude of challenges which promote unique learning experiences that set the foundation for higher learning. Their classrooms are set up to meet the developmental needs of the children and to provide them the opportunities to make choices. All the learning experiences promote blossoming independence and social skills in their little ones, as well as foster self-confidence in each and every one of them. At this level, they strive to develop their gross motor skills as well as to encourage children to express themselves through words. Their facilities such as the Speech & Drama Room, Indoor Playground and Fitness Centre create an environment that enhances the children’s learning journey!
- Nursery 1 for 3 years old - Their world of N1 involves learning personal responsibilities and independence, decision making, and navigating the art of making friends. Children can also be found immersed in thoughts and conversations (in both English and Chinese Languages) as they explore varied sensory experiences. In this classroom, children make new discoveries daily. With the uniqueness of their program, made alive through the rich blending of music, art and dramatic play, children are often seen engaging themselves with all the early learning fundamentals.
- Nursery 2 for 4 years old - Early literacy skills are an important feature in the N2 classroom with cognitive activities, storytelling and group discussions based on children’s literature. In this world, children dictate stories that are then acted out with the help of their friends, allowing their own words to come to life. The N2 activities encourage creativity, exploration and discovery in a developmentally appropriate learning environment. The children develop their self-concept, and are exposed to reading and math-readiness skills, and fine and gross motor skill development in an age appropriate setting. Their N2 programme also builds up children’s learning progress as they introduce programmes such as the reading programme, mathematics programme and even computer classes. These range of activities provide children with a more all-rounded curriculum to prepare them for a more academic-based curriculum in kindergarten.
- Kindergarten 1 for 5 years old - The K1 classroom reflects the notion that the five-year-olds are vibrant, active doers. Children experience life through learning centers, technology and continued bilingual immersion as well as teacher support. In this classroom, a strong sense of “we-ness” (togetherness) invites children to work cooperatively, to give and take leadership. Recognising that in this level, a strong foundation of language and math is essential, children are exposed to their in-house phonics and reading programme where they learn to read, spell and write better. Having said that, having a well-proven mathematics programme, enables the K1 children to build on strong concepts where the components feature real-world situations that stimulate the children’s interest and involvement in mathematics.
- Kindergarten 2 for 6 years old - The programme in the K2 level is exclusively designed to prepare six-year-olds for formal education. Their K2 programme has a more academic-based structure that also encourages independent learning so as to aid children in adapting to both local and international Primary School environment. Children at this level will also be introduced to Han Yu Pin Yin and Spelling (both English and Chinese).
