The Festival Concert presents a unique theatrical experience through the visual narrative of shadow puppetry at the Esplanade Theatre.
The storyline revolves around two seedlings and their coming of age—paralleling Singapore’s continued growth and development with the growth and development of our youth through the arts. This year’s concert features performers from 14 schools, presenting a spectrum of traditional and modern art forms. The Festival Concert will be graced by our Guest-of-Honour, Second Minister for Education Ms. Indranee Rajah.
About Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) 2019 Celebrations
The Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) Celebrations is an annual event organised by the Ministry of Education (MOE) to develop well-rounded, passionate learners by providing students with an inclusive and collaborative platform to express their artistic talent and creative voice.
SYF 2019 Celebrations is held from 5 – 7 July 2019 and presents a myriad of opportunities for students to showcase their talents to the public. The event also features hands-on art outreach activities as well as student performances from different arts genres.
