Yip Yew Chong: Live Painting at IMBA Theatre

Watch Singapore take shape through the eyes of artist Yip Yew Chong.

 

From 21–25 October, Yew Chong will spend 30 hours live-painting the Singapore segment of his ongoing I Paint my World series at IMBA.

The new 2.5m × 1.5m work will depict a panoramic night scene of modern-day Singapore, with Gardens by the Bay in the foreground, IMBA visible within the landscape, and the glittering city beyond. The painting brings the journey back to Singapore, following his 2023 I Paint my Singapore series.

Drop by throughout the five days to catch the painting in its early stages, or return to see the scene gradually take shape.
