Junior Sports Camp 2018

SAFRA Tampines Junior Sports Camp is back again this year by popular demand! Join for a 2D1N expedition filled with fun, adventures and activities!

Movie Making Workshop

This programme is specially designed for aspiring young film-makers. It includes advertisements, news reports, stop motion animations, movie trailers and much more.

Participants will learn:

Camera trick shots, editing videos with iMovie/Adobe Premiere/Final Cut Pro.
Use equipment: Cameras, tripod, green screen costumes, props and make-up.
Create scripts and choreograph fight scenes and stunt dummies for films.
Understand and learn different roles in movie making, from directing to editing of videos, sound and audio effects, acting, and producing for film and movies.
Learn how to upload and share all filming projects on drive.

Maximum Capacity: Min. of 7 participants to start each workshop.

NXT Mindstorms Workshop

An extension of the Lego Robotics workshop, explore a series of challenges in construction and programming. Sequentially follow a series of build and programming challenges to successfully create a NXT robot that follows commands and achieve set tasks.

Participants will learn:

Build a NXT robot using a number of sensors; such as light, touch and sound.
Use equipment: NXT Mindstorms software, motors, sensors and a programmable NXT brick.
Problem solving, work as a team and achieve success in set tasks.
Learn how to program a robot.
Build skills and techniques required to develop the robot for a Robot Wars Challenge.

Maximum Capacity: Min. of 7 participants to start each workshop.

Photography Workshop

Embark on your own photography journey with your camera (phone, digital or instant camera). Learn about point of view shots as well as photograph compositions.

Participants will learn:

Point of view shots and photograph compositions.
About camera parts and different types of camera films.
About photography lighting and photograph compositions.
How to use different shutter speed and time-lapsing.
Editing pictures using Photoshop.
Create their own photograph pictorial series.
