Under The BIG Tree returns to the Singapore Hokkien Huay Kuan Cultural Academy, inviting families and friends to gather beneath its iconic tree for an evening of dance, discovery, and togetherness.
Settle onto picnic mats and enjoy performances by SCDT's professional company, Performance Troupes (Children, Junior and Youth), and students from SCDT's training classes in a relaxed outdoor setting.
Round off the evening with carnival snacks, DIY props-making workshops, and Chinese dance-themed games that offer fun, hands-on experiences for all ages.
This outdoor dance carnival celebrates the living spirit of Chinese dance and heritage, showing how culture flourishes not only on stage but also through meaningful moments shared by the community.

Admission is free. You may purchase Privilege Pass* at S$7.00 each (excluding ticket charges) to enjoy special benefits.
* Each Privilege Pass holder will receive a carnival snack (Popcorn, Candy Floss, or Ice Cream), and a chance to win lucky draw prizes. The first 400 pass holders will receive a priority-entry wristband to access the indoor hall in the event of wet weather.
