Festive Korea 2021


The 11th edition of Festive Korea, organized by the Korean Cultural Center in Hong Kong and the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Hong Kong, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea, as well as with support of the Government of Hong Kong SAR, is grandly held this October. With the aim of promoting Korean culture and developing meaningful collaboration between Korea and Hong Kong, Festive Korea has attracted millions of audiences since it was first launched in 2011.

In its 11th anniversary, Festive Korea presents the theme of “K-connected” which refers to the connection between Korea and Hong Kong through exchanging arts and culture. Festive Korea will provide the Hong Kong audience with a wealth of cultural experience so that they will feel much closer to Korea.

This year’s Festive Korea highlights a wide variety of inspiring programs that you can experience Korea in Hong Kong. Korea Square, an open Korean cultural bazaar, will attract Hong Kong people who love K-food, K-pop, and all kinds of K-culture. Audiences will meet excellent Korean classical musicians including the world-renowned violinist Zia SHIN and pianist Yoonie HAN. The blind violinist KIM Jisun will present a special stage collaborating with Hong Kong’s best musicians.
People can enjoy the beauty of Korean ceramics and crafts at the Korean Ceramic Pavilion of the Fine Art Asia Art Fair and the associated exhibitions at the
Korean Cultural Center afterward. In addition, Korean film screenings, K-food master classes, and many more events will undoubtedly satisfy the taste of Hong Kong people.

Festive Korea heightens the appreciation and enjoyment of Korean arts and culture by presenting an impressive cultural feast to the Hong Kong audience.
