Calling all Young Innovators! Do you, or someone you know aged between 12 and 18, have that creative spark, an inventor’s brain, and the ambition to take it to the next level?
To celebrate Innovation Month in Abu Dhabi this February, Makerspace Al Zeina is looking for the brightest minds and the most creative ideas, to invite the innovators of tomorrow to apply to win an amazing opportunity to prototype their own unique inventions over 3 months of access and training in our makerspace!
We want to see submissions that explore mobility! We’re especially interested in projects that focus on new, improved or modified ways of transport or how to get around, and are sustainable or environmental.
Whether than means boards or bikes, sand or sea, four wheels or two, humans or pets…the rest is up to you, and we can’t wait to see what you can dream up!
Winning applicants will receive:
- 3 months’ access* (from early March to end of May)
- up to 3 classes of their choice as required to make their prototype* (machine training from Makerspace Al Zeina’s monthly class calendar)
- AED 500 of material credit to purchase consumables from makerspace store (items must be available within the shop)
- 2-3 hours Support sessions (Scheduled on Saturdays 2 –3 hours slot to support innovators and facilitate brain storming and making)
- The opportunity to showcase their prototype at the end of the program

Deadline for applicants: Thursday 25th February
Results announced: Sunday 28th February
Spark Program takes place: Saturday 6th March – Saturday 29th May (Spring break taken in line with school holidays)
