It’s that time of year again when The Galleria Al Maryah Island transforms into a Christmas Winter Wonderland!
Bring your family and friends to get into the Christmas spirit with many activities, festivities and fun at The Galleria.
From Santa and Elf on the Shelf to the outdoor Winter Village and The Ripe Market, check out all that's happening below.
Festive Fun at The Galleria
- Visit Santa’s Grotto, Find Elf on the Shelf and Send Your Letter to Santa at The Galleria
- The Galleria has a whole host of festive fun in store for guests.
- Start the festive season with The Galleria’s Tree Lighting on 09 December.
- Meet Santa and send a message to loved ones around the world at Santa’s Grotto. Visit www.meetsantaatthegalleria.com to book.
- Walk-in guests are also welcome. If bookings are not available, our elves on-site will try to accommodate everyone.
- Find Elf on the Shelf at The Galleria for your chance to win prizes on social media, and
- Tell Santa why you have been good this year with the special ‘Letters to Santa’ at The Galleria and some lucky boys and girls will be presented with presents from Santa himself!
Visit Santa’s Grotto & Tree Lighting
- Location: Level 3, Central Kitchens, The Galleria Al Maryah Island
- Timings: 10am to 10pm, 09 to 24 December 2022.
Santa has come down from the North Pole to meet all the boys and girls in Abu Dhabi at The Galleria this season. He will be available from 10am on 09 December, and there will be a special moment to mark the official beginning of the festive season at 6pm.
Visitors will also be able to send messages to loved ones around the world, take pictures with the elves and giant festive tree, and of course meet the big man himself and have their picture taken by one of Santa’s elves. Santa will be very busy on the 25th, so the last chance to see him will be 24 December.
Letters to Santa
- Location: Level 3, Central Kitchens, The Galleria Al Maryah Island
- Timings: During operational hours (Sun to Thurs: 10am to 10pm, Fri and Sat: 10am to 12am) 09 to 24 December 2022.
Write your festive wish list to Santa and tell him why you have been good this year for a chance to have Santa gift you your presents at The Galleria!
Winners will be announced every week and Santa will meet and gift those selected on 16 and 23 December.
Each Letter to Santa post box will have one-time-use sealed (envelopes) letters with pencils/crayons for kids to write their festive ‘wish list’ and post it in the onsite mailbox. A digital version of the letter will also be downloadable from The Galleria’s website for those who would like to complete it at home.
Elf on the Shelf
- Location: Somewhere in The Galleria
- Timings: During operational hours (Sun to Thurs: 10am to 10pm, Fri and Sat: 10am to 12am) 09 to 24 December 2022.
Elf on the shelf is a magic elf who is always up to mischief. He does not move while children are awake, but goes exploring at night time when little ones are asleep. So you never know where you might find him during the day.
Follow the social media clues to see where he might be, take a picture with him in The Galleria and tag @TheGalleriaUAE #AtTheGalleria. 10 winners will receive a AED 500 voucher to spend at the mall!
Winter Village
Location: The South Plaza (beside the main entrance to The Galleria’s Luxury Collection), the entire community can enjoy complimentary access to the Winter Village and The Ripe Festive Market.
Timing: 4pm to 10pm, 09 to 25 December 2022.
A packed schedule of shows and activities runs from 4pm to 10pm daily with festive movies during weekdays and live stage shows at weekends. The Winter Village will also have a Snow Park, Snow Globe, Snow Ice Rink, Snow Slide and Activity Huts for the entire community to enjoy.
The Ripe Festive Market on Al Maryah Island
- Location: Al Maryah Island, South Plaza
- Timing: 3pm to 10pm, 09 to 25 December 2022.
If that wasn’t enough snow, The Ripe Festive Market will have a special festive winter theme and will run every day throughout the festive season (09 to 25 December).
Bringing together the community to support local businesses, the market is a platform for local entrepreneurs to promote their brands, and offer experiences including live cooking stations, arts and crafts, and locally made retail products.
The Ripe Festive Market will also include an array of activities, entertainment, and live performances.
