An empowered and competitive publishing industry and literary arts community trained in the latest professional knowledge and skills

The Academy of Literary Arts and Publishing Singapore is the training arm of the National Book Development Council of Singapore (NBDCS). They conduct short courses, workshops and masterclasses in the fields of publishing, writing, reading and storytelling. The workshops meet the training needs of publishing professionals, media employees and media freelancers. They also reach out to educators, young adults, parents and hobbyists who wish to build their skills in these fields. Join and keep up with the expansive growth of literary content across traditional, digital and multimedia platforms. The local and international trainers from countries such as the United Kingdom, United States and Australia are established, credible professionals from the literary arts and publishing field.

ALAP aims to be a training provider of excellence in Singapore, addressing the training needs of professionals and others working in the fields of writing, reading, storytelling, editorial and publishing. The Academy is committed to engaging qualified, credible and talented trainers and experts to develop and conduct relevant programmes in English, Chinese, Malay and Tamil.
