Children, their family and **friends are warmly invited to the Beyond Awesome Tinkerlab sessions for the opening up Beyond Awesome* classroom space!**

Beyond Awesome is a physical space, centrally located in Singapore to inspire wonder, creativity and a growth mindset. It is a a mash-up of a classroom, playroom, art studio and playground all rolled into one. At Beyond Awesome they work on creating inclusive spaces - much of their work as an organisation has been involved and dedicated towards under-resourced communities. 100% of ticket proceeds from the Tinkerlab sessions will go towards supporting the weekly programming they provide. Another way they celebrate inclusivity is by inviting friends from the differently-able and under-served communities to join sessions - children from different backgrounds will learn to play and create together - creating opportunities for empathy and kindness to take centre-stage.

What can I expect during a Tinkerlab session? During these sessions, you'll be surprised to learn that there is no program, no curriculum and no grown-ups or teachers running the show. This is common across all the programming where they allow time for children to simply explore, lead activities they're interested in and collaborate with their peers. You can choose to participate together with your child or simply take a break by reading a book, catching up on your own work or exploring the other stores in the building.

Will there be any supervision during these sessions? There will be grown-ups in the form of the program captains and volunteers who are ready to support when needed. Children below the ages of 6 will need to be supervised by their parent at all times.

What will my child/will I be able to do? Everyone who participates in these sessions will have creative freedom to use any of the materials and resources made available to create and experiment as they wish (some example photos are shown below to give you an idea of what's possible - the list is in-exhaustive, of course!). Painting to beadwork to up-cycled materials and so much more! Everything you make can be taken home at the end of the session. You're more than welcome to hang out in the play corner or in the library corner, too!

I can't make the entire session or can't stay for the whole time, am I still able to join? The beauty of the Tinkerlab sessions is it operates on a drop-in/self-directed basis so you can pop in and out as you please within the allocated time.

What makes Tinkerlab sessions so special? It is not only creating inclusive space where children learn, play and explore together (as shared above), it is also encouraging skill-sets that is not often taught in formal education settings or come in the form of a textbook. Things like resilience, empathy, kindness and bravery.

What do I need to bring or do before a session? Before a session, they will email you with details along with a link to the registration form to ensure that they have a fun, safe and enjoyable experience. Other than that, just bring yourself and be ready to have some fun!
