Eshkol Valley is the prime land filled with giant clusters of grapes, pomegranates and figs. It is the land of abundance. This symbolises God’s faithfulness and is the gateway to the Promised Land.

Core N1-K2 Curriculum

The Eshkol approach is well-balanced:

It arouses a love for learning in children (a child learns best when he enjoys himself i.e. play)
It prepares children academically so that they are well-equipped for the rigors required in Primary One.

For this, they studied various philosophies and approaches to glean the best of the play-based approach (e.g. Montessori, Waldorf and etc) and the academic-based approach to provide the best learning for children. Their lessons are balanced between structured and planned learning as well as activity centres that encourage self-paced fun learning.

Their curriculum will be implemented through planned thematic learning. Some examples are:

Just Being Me (e.g. about our bodies, liking myself)
The More We Get Together (e.g. family members, friends have fun together)
What Grown-Ups Do (e.g. Doctors and Dentists, Firefighters, Teachers)
Singapore (e.g. our history, our famous attractions, our people)
Wheels and Wings (e.g. motor vehicles, types of planes)
Growing Greens (e.g. plant life cycles, conservation)

In each thematic study, the child will learn about the same theme using various methods such as: classroom lessons, field trips, interactive multi media and activity centres. Having completed their curriculum, your children will be independent and confident learners.

Their bilingual programme provides the platform for the children to immerse in Chinese and Chinese culture. To this end, the English will be the key medium for the first half of the day. The second half of the day will be conducted in Mandarin.

Arts

Music / Piano Lessons - It improves your child’s memory, cognitive development and ability to express emotion. Music makes your child a better learner, teaches self-control, improves coordination, enhances creativity and inspires your child with a lifelong appreciation of music and movement. Plus, it’s fun!
Art/Craft - Art/Craft sessions are taught by teachers in the school with related talents to involve children in basic art making using various mediums to express personal ideas creatively.
Speech/Drama - Their speech & drama sessions are conducted by qualified instructors. With fun props like masks, puppets, etc., children have fun in these classes and in the process learn to speak confidently.

Other Enrichment

Baking Fun - In these occasional classes, kids enjoy the fun of baking and creating food for themselves and their loved ones in a safe environment!
Science Discovery - Science concepts and attitudes are integrated within their curriculum. They encourage children to adopt dispositions such as a keen sense of wonder and curiosity and inventiveness.
