Parents Workshop: How to Strengthen Your Child’s Immunity

Parents Workshop: How to Strengthen Your Child’s Immunity

From birth to puberty, young children build their immunity from the early capabilities they received while in the womb and from their mother’s milk

The factors that diminish their immunity are poor nutrition, infection, toxins, trauma and stress. These factors diminish cell communication within the body and in turn, compromise the body’s immunity.

Children are given prescription medications like antibiotics and steroids when they fall ill. They may not be receiving a balanced diet and may be missing out on important micronutrients for a healthy immune system. Many also do not sleep well. They catch germs and sicknesses from each other. Very often the spread of infection affects other children in class as well. Parents’ working schedules may be disrupted when they have to stay at home with a sick child.

It is in everyone’s interest that children have an optimised immune system so that they can cope with infection and develop well physically. What can be done to support children’s immune system? This topic will be covered in depth during this parents workshop.
