Real Learning in Real Life!
Language is a tool of communication, not merely a subject in school. Have you ever wondered that why none of your textbooks teach you how to order a cup of water in Chinese?
Let’s put ourselves in real life challenges and start using the Chinese language, it’s so much more than tracing characters!
Learn & Practice Chinese Beyond the Textbooks
In each week’s Experiential Chinese Camp, students will learn 3 survival skills with structured vocabulary and sentences, followed by real life “challenges” assigned. Students will revise 1 old skill and learn 2 new skills in each of the subsequent week. At the end of each term, there will be a final exam competition for students to practice all skills learned.
Proposed Survival Skills:
- Everyday and Special Occasions Greetings
- Ordering food in food court and hawker centre
- Shopping for clothes
- Grocery shopping
- Getting a haircut or shampoo
- Scheduling an appointment (hair salon, clinic, the dentist, etc.)
Class Size: 18 to 24 students per class (will be divided into 3 groups)
