Music Playground is partnering Learning Chapters Education Hub to offer a S.T.E.M. inspired 3-hr workshop using Micro:bit.
Students will be able to:
- Articulate the drag-and-drop process for programming of the micro:bit;
- Compose a song using the micro:bit programming interface;
- Identify micro: bit breadboard, LEDs, sound buzzer and other hardware components and Integrate these into a music keyboard project using fruits and other objects.
About the Trainer:
Mr. Benson Lim is a Computer Engineering graduate from the National University of Singapore (NUS). He is a NIE-trained teacher who has taught computer applications in a secondary school. Benson was also the Subject Head of Infocomm Technology (ICT) in his school. Equipped with the knowledge and experience, in both technical and curriculum, the contents of the workshop are carefully crafted by him. He is a certified mindfulness educator and also an associate teacher with the National Institute of Education. As an active horn player, he is able to integrate masterfully elements of coding and music.
