Singapore Chinese Dance Theatre (SCDT)’s Intensive Chinese Dance Camp is back again as part of our recruitment exercise for our Children Performance Troupe!
Join us for a 3-day intensive training programme to unleash your inner potential as a performer! Targeted at students aged 8 - 10 years old, the programme consists of various training sessions designed to stimulate a student’s physical and mental development to become a member of the performance troupe!
Dance Camp Structure
- Mat Exercises (Rolls, Handstands, Cartwheels, Flips)
- Barre Exercises
- Dance Repertoire
Audition Selection Criteria
- The dance instructor will assess and select based on each student's overall performance during the dance camp. Selected members will start the training on 8 Jan 2023.
Children Performance Troupe Training
- Day: Every Sunday
- Time: 3:30pm - 6:30pm

About Singapore Chinese Dance Theatre's Performance Troupes
Singapore Chinese Dance Theatre (SCDT)'s Youth Performance Troupe (Youth Troupe) has been a highly acclaimed amateur dance group in the Singapore dance scene. Our Youth Troupe, led by Founding Artistic Director Madam Lim Moi Kim, has been actively performing in several community performances, such as River Hongbao and Mid-Autumn Celebration at Gardens by the Bay.
Through this comprehensive programme, SCDT has witnessed members of the Youth Troupe who pursue dance studies in academic institutions, with some turned professional in recent years.
With the aim to uncover and nurture younger talents, SCDT set up its Children and Junior Performance Troupe in 2020.
Apart from attending pre-professional training under the direction of our dance professionals, members of our Performance Troupe also have the opportunities to participate in various performances, competitions, and cultural exchanges locally and abroad.
