Uncover intriguing tales of history and architecture, unearth hidden treasures, and delve into stories of the Civic District across time. 

Siding Spring and Plains of Notations

Explore vibrant and abstract sculptures at the ACM Green, where inspiration from frames, doorways, motifs, and intricate patterns discovered among the objects on display at ACM comes to life. This installation invites you to trace patterns, gaze through portals, and create sounds as you move between the shapes and forms, fostering playful exploration. This art installation is designed by Hazel Lim-Schlegel and Andreas Schlegel, with input from their young daughter, Hanna Schlegel.

Archaeology After Dark: Curator’s Tour

In this special archaeology-themed tour, dig deep with curator Michael Ng as he shares insights and stories about the history of Empress Place, told through objects found during excavations in 1998 and 2015. 

Painting by the River with Tung Yue Nang

Spend a morning by the Singapore River with Chinese ink artist Tung Yue Nang as he paints a scene of its surrounding architecture and the people he meets. Drop by to observe him at work, have a chat, or just say hi!

Our Civic District: A tour with The Urbanist Singapore

If buildings could talk, what stories would they tell? Journey to the heart of Singapore’s history in this walking tour of the Civic District. Learn about the city’s iconic landmarks and discover how they have transformed across time. 

Sound Journey in the Galleries with Space2B

Enjoy meditative, multi-instrumental sounds as you explore the galleries. Look out for architectural objects on display at ACM, such as screens and doors, a temple gateway model, the granary roof, and more.

A Wes Anderson-ish Singapore: Short Film Screening and Intro to Architectural Photography with Kevin Siyuan

Catch a screening of the first volume of A Wes Anderson-ish Singapore, a photographic exploration of Singapore’s built environment. Then, get tips on architectural photography from filmmaker Kevin Siyuan. Explore the ACM building and put your skills into practice by photographing the museum’s unique spaces.

LEGO workshop with Artisan Bricks

  • $28/parent-child pair

Build a mini temple gateway using LEGO bricks in this family-friendly workshop with Jeffrey Kong of Artisan Bricks. Discover the architectural features of Hindu temples, like Singapore’s iconic Sri Mariamman Temple. By public transport: The ACM is a 5-minute walk from Raffles Place MRT station (Exit H). 
By car: Can be reached via a road behind Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall, off Fullerton Road near Anderson Bridge.

Parking: At the basement car park of the New Parliament House, at Six Battery Road and at One Fullerton across from the Fullerton Hotel.
