Tackling Difficult Questions and Composition for PSLE English.

Our speaker, Dr Chua, has a PhD from the Australian National University and is a former teacher and HOD at one of the best Primary Schools in Singapore. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Education), a certificate for teaching the Gifted and Talented, and a Master of Arts (Social Studies) from NIE. As a result of almost ten years of research and training, he has guided and inspired numerous pupils towards success in English, with 100% of his first batch of Primary 6 pupils achieving at least an ‘A’ grade and 82% achieving A* for PSLE English Exams.
In this 1.5-hour session designed for parents of Primary 4 to 6 pupils, Dr Chua will share his experience as an upper primary teacher English Language teacher and a PSLE marker. He will also reveal proven strategies to tackle the toughest sections of the English Language examinations, such as Synthesis and Transformation, Comprehension Cloze Passage and Comprehension Open-ended. Using teaching methods developed for the teaching of the Gifted and Talented, Dr Chua will introduce critical thinking as a foundation for the learning of English across all levels.
