About Madrasah Aljunied Angklung Ensemble
Madrasah Aljunied Angklung Ensemble, formed in 2008, comprises of students from the Madrasah Aljunied Al Islamiah. The ensemble under the baton of its instructor Mr Dzul Rabull has been performing in numerous events and festivals.
The ensemble’s main instrument is the angklung, an Indonesian musical instrument made from bamboo. Each of these instruments can only produce a single note when shaken and the students ranging from secondary 1 to Pre-U level are trained to play them with precision.
