The ukulele is a traditional musical instrument unique to Hawaii since 1879.
Being the passionate ukulele fans that they are, Alan and Evan will whisk you through different eras and music genres on this humble four-stringed instrument.
About the Artist
Alan Soo, an instructor with UKULELE MOVEMENT for the past six years, has been playing the ukulele since 2007. He has played at venues such as Singapore’s Hard Rock Café, Singapore’s Ukulele Festival in 2014, 2015 and 2016 and the Bangkok Ukulele Festival in 2012 and 2013.
A student at UKULELE MOVEMENT, Evan Joel De Silva is a 12-year-old boy with three years of ukulele experience . He has performed for ChildAid 2016, and was in the finals of Ribbee’s World Ukulele Championship International Competition 2016.
Both Alan and Evan aim to spread the joy and happiness of music through the ukulele.
