Xinmin Primary Guzheng Ensemble presents music ranging from traditional to popular Disney classics specially arranged for the guzheng ensemble
Music includes Korean folk song Arirang, Chinese folk song Jasmine Flower, Colours of the Wind from Pocahontas and popular tunes by Sia, Joe Hisaishi etc.
Established in 2009, Xinmin Primary Guzheng Ensemble aims not only to nurture young children musically, but also to inculcate the values of resilience and teamwork in them. The ensemble consists of more than 40 members, ranging from 8–12 years old. Last year marked an important milestone for the ensemble, who clinched the Certificate of Distinction at the SYF Arts Presentation.
