Revisiting Indian Traditions in Singapore Exhibition
A travelling exhibition by the Indian Heritage Centre (IHC) explores the various traditional Indian practices in Singapore across different sub-themes of traditional crafts, trades and games. The series will look at how these practices were traditionally practised in the past, and how they have evolved today. With interactive games and crafts on hand, this exhibition will be a fun stop for all!
Rangoli Flower Carpet
Rangoli is an art form originating in the Indian subcontinent, in which patterns are created on the ground using materials such as coloured rice, flour, sand or flower petals during Hindu festivals. This Deepavali, renowned Rangoli artist Vijaya Mohan creates her signature work along the Colonnade using an uncanny medium – come see for yourself!
