Nature and Sustainability Tours


Journey through the lesser-known parts of Gardens by the Bay and learn about the natural environment, biodiversity and sustainability using real examples found in the Gardens.

 

Free for all Singaporeans and local residents, the Nature and Sustainability Tours take place every Saturday and Sunday and cover various themes, such as Biodiversity and Ecosystems, Carbon and Climate, Seeds and Senses, and Urban Wetlands.

  • Date: Ongoing every Saturday and Sunday
  • Time: 8.30am to 9.30am and 10.30am to 11.30am
  • Location: Gardens by the Bay
  • Registration opens every first Wednesday of each month for the following month.

[NEW IN 2026] Urban Biodiversity Walk

Explore the hidden wonders of the garden, spot local wildlife, and help collect real biodiversity data for the Gardens. Discover the fauna living amidst our City in Nature at the best spots in the Gardens, and try your hand at identifying birds with binoculars,  while contributing to the monitoring of our biodiversity. No experience needed—just curiosity and a love for nature. Participants must be at least 10 years old to join.​

  • Last Saturday of every month, starting from 31 Jan 2026​
  • 8.00am - 9.30am
  • Meeting point: Gardens by the Bay MRT Exit 1

[NEW IN 2026] The Secret Life of Pollinators

Discover the vital role pollinators play in our lives on this guided garden walk. Learn how birds, butterflies, bees and other pollinators support global food systems and why their survival matters to us all. Along the way, find out how the Gardens is doing its part to support pollinators too.​

Note: For safety reasons, individuals with known bee allergies are advised not to participate in the tour. ​

Biodiversity and Ecosystems Tour

This tour highlights the intricate relationships between plant, animal, and microbial biodiversity and the ecosystems they compose and inhabit. Participants will be taken on a journey of diverse habitats from around the world and learn about how different organisms have formed special relationships to survive and thrive in some very challenging conditions!

Carbon and Climate Tour

What is carbon and how are humans affecting it? Learn about the different colours of carbon, carbon sources and sinks as it moves through the environment and what this means for a climate that is changing while discovering the secrets to cutting carbon in the Gardens.

  • Meeting point: Main Arrival (outside McDonalds)

A Sensory Stroll - Can Eat or Not?

Did you know that plants have a similar sense of taste as you and me? Learn how plants use this sense to detect and respond to different compounds in the soil!

Dig deeper into how your own senses of taste and smell and why plants produce bitter, sour, sweet, or taste-altering compounds in their leaves, stems, fruits, and flowers!
