Lets Invent! - An invention education programme for 5 to 80 years old
IDE Academy provides students from kindergarten to tertiary levels (5 to 20 years old) with an interactive and interdisciplinary opportunity to use the STEMIE (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths, Innovation, Entrepreneurship) invention process which reflects the rising trend of Design Thinking methodology taken by designers in diverse fields to create and pitch an original product at nationwide and global conventions with qualitative researches.
Students will build their critical-thinking and entrepreneurial skills.
IDE Academy hopes to bring together problem-solvers, inventors and entrepreneurs of all ages, backgrounds and disciplines.
This June, IDE Academy is organising a 5 days Holiday Invention Education programme that aims to share and cultivate the process of STEMIE into different possibilities and greater innovations.
Anyone aged between 5 to 80 can take part in the programme.
In 5 days, participants will experience the invention process of Identifying, Understanding, Ideating, Designing, Testing, Building and Communication.
Based on STEMIE’S proprietary curriculum, one will get to improve and test out ideas with superlative materials. Participants will be given an Invention log to document their creative developments and final executions which can greatly benefit in their portfolio as a reflection of understanding Design Thinking.
Last but not least, each project will be critique and receive feedbacks by professionals from STEM-related fields.
