Join us for a delightful storytelling session at the Centre for Ethnobotany, Singapore Botanic Gardens, as we bring to life the tale of Princess Kemang!
Puteri Kemang (Princess Kemang), a warrior princess from Bengkulu, Indonesia. Skilled in sword fighting and archery, she encounters a terrifying demon while hunting in a scary forest one day. Find out how she escapes from the dangerous forest, outwitting the perilous situations with her courage!
Join Malay Heritage Centre (MHC)’s storyteller and docent, Hafiz Rashid, as he leads you on an immersive storytelling experience and tour around the Centre for Ethnobotany. Get the chance to see the fruits and plants associated with the story before creating your own batik simbut mini drawstring bag using all-natural materials and inks derived from plants! A craft kit with all the materials you need will be provided to each child.
