Tails from the Coasts: Nature Stories of Singapore
Tails from the Coasts: Nature Stories of Singapore explores the enduring connections between the human and animal inhabitants of Singapore through 36 drawings from the National Museum of Singapore’s treasured William Farquhar Collection of Natural History Drawings.
The exhibition highlights tales from the coasts of Singapore, ranging from scientific “discoveries” to indigenous sayings and beliefs, to accounts of conservation efforts and the resurgence of wildlife, spanning both past and present.
Beyond the shores of Singapore, the exhibition commemorates the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Singapore and Australia in 2025 from the fresh angle of natural history and biodiversity, highlighting the animals and geographies that connect us.
