In Sunflower Childcare Group they believe that in every child lies a potential to do great things - great things beyond the imagination of us adults, who at times set limits to hopes and aspirations.

They understand the early years are very special for your child. It is therefore their responsibility to ensure that his/her time with us is well spent.

Their age-appropriate program helps children to develop intellectually, physically, emotionally, musically and socially to their fullest potential. They encourage both the teacher-directed as well as child-initiated activities to scaffold each child's learning. Each child will be allowed to progress at his or her own pace. They will also look into their stages of development to enhance and enrich their learning opportunity. Their curriculum planning is based on the Multiple Intelligence (MI).

Their curriculum provides hundreds of ways to develop all eight kinds of "smarts", and offers tips and resources for making the most of one's strongest intelligences and strengthening the others, they are:

Thus, it is not difficult to see that their entire program is geared towards promoting the development of the whole child in the following areas: PHYSICAL, INTELLECTUAL, LANGUAGE, EMOTIONAL and SOCIAL.

Besides the usual curriculum, the following activities are also conducted on a regular basis for your child's learning and enjoyment purposes. These are:

Fun with Cooking – In their quarterly cookery sessions, children have the opportunity to experience hands-on basic cooking skills and learn about nutrition and the importance of a balanced diet. They also learn team spirit in a fun way as they "work" and learn in a team of 4 to 6.
Excursions – They visit places of interests as well as make field trips to enhance classroom experiences. Some places they have visited are farms, factories, museums, etc.
Workshops – Workshops are sometimes organized to introduce new ideas, skills or crafts to parents or students.

At Sunflower they recognize the importance of providing children with the best standards of age-appropriate education. Staff training and curriculum reviews are conducted regularly to ensure that they maintain a high standard.
