Remittance letters were commonly sent by Chinese migrant workers in Singapore in the 1900s

 

Organised as part of The Future of Our Pasts Festival (TFOOPFest), Intimacies shines a light on letter-writing in the 20th century.

The exhibition highlights the historical context, affective value and material medium of letter-writing over two periods, pre- and post-World War Two.
