Every child deserves to be given a chance to explore and experience all aspect of life “appropriately”.
Treasure Box Child Development Centre believes that every child is unique and should be given the opportunity to explore the environment in his/her own way.
In 2000, they set up their first Treasure Box Childcare Centre with a commitment to combine learning with childcare; they aim to make a difference by doing it better than others.
With each teacher looking after fewer pupils, children get more dedicated attention. This way, learning is more effective and interactive. Teachers can cater to the needs of each individual child.
At Treasure Box they believe in experiential learning – children learn by doing, by exploring and by asking questions. They encourage each and every one of their pre-school students to explore the environment around them in their lessons.
Each of their kindergarten lessons are designed to be hands on, and to integrate many different areas of learning into one experience – this helps to captivate students’ imaginations, making pre-school education a fun and engaging experience.
Some of the fun special programmes that they run at all levels of the kindergarten – from Nursery school through to their kindergarten classes include:
- Phonics - The distinctive Letter Land method is the foundation of their teaching philosophy. Learning about alphabet, shapes and sound recognition will result in accelerated development of reading and spelling.
- Tell Me Why? - Improving communication skills and broadening children’s knowledge are the key objectives of this interactive session. Topics are chosen with the child’s interest in mind.
- Young Chefs - Cooking is an enriching experience that can instill a sense of achievement and confidence because children are able to see their masterpieces and even eat them within a short time. This helps boost self-esteem, a valuable gift that lasts a lifetime.
- Computer Whiz - Basic computer skill is essential in today’s world. Their fun computer program is developed for children to learn a sense of independence and ad-hoc thinking.
- Best Buddies - Every week two children will pair up as buddies and participate in activities together. Partnership allows children to learn to work and play together as well as develop important social skills such as sharing.
- Latest News - The world is as big as you know it. That is why they broaden pupils’ view of the world through reading of newspapers and creating awareness of what is happening around the world.
