Enp uses the American Ballet Theatre (ABT) Training Curriculum, a breakthrough 8 level program that combines high quality artistic training with the basics of dancers' health and child development. The ABT National Training Curriculum consists of a comprehensive set of age-appropriate , outcome-based guidelines to provide the highest quality ballet training to dance students of all ages and skill levels.
Students ages three to seven are introduced to music and movement in our Primary Levels. The emphasis in these courses is on rhythm, dynamics, and placement, so that students graduate from Primary with an understanding of spatial awareness, correct alignment, teamwork, and focus. Each is divided by age in order to accommodate the developmental needs of every student.
Students ages eight to twelve in Levels 1A through 3 are groomed to pursue pre-professional training. The specific graded curriculum is designed to strengthen technique, stamina, and discipline through practical training and lessons in theory.
The Pre-Professional Division starts from Level 4 and continues on to Level 7. Still following a specific graded curriculum, the training will include advanced technique classes and critical lecture courses to contribute to the development of a complete dancer. ABT's teaching philosophy is to create dancers that are versatile rather than stylized, who are thus prepared to work with any company.
Acceptance in all levels are made through placement classes.
