What's on your bucket list for a cool and creative family activity over the weekend? Get ready for some fun coding adventures as a family before school term starts!

We’re introducing our very first First Code Family Day that should definitely top your bucket list!

This event is designed to introduce fundamental computer science concepts. Whether you are new to coding or an avid programmer, you are welcome to join and take part in our First Code Family Day! Pair up with your child to create a mobile app and present by end of day your final work or join as a family to form a team and compete in a Robotics Race.

This Family Day is for families with kids Ages 6-8 or 9-14.
2 parents and 1 kid for each ticket

Parent-child Robotics Workshop & Race (Age 6-8) -

Tool: Dash & Dot
Suitable for: A parent(s) with a child age 6-8
Duration: 90 minutes
Highlight: Winner of the robotics race will even get a 3D printing!

This workshop is designed for young children to learn the fundamentals of robotics and programming. Using one of our tech educational tools, Dash & Dot, students will be introduced to technology as a tool to solve simple and complex problems.

Students will experience how to give commands to robots using iPads to solve puzzles and projects. They will learn basic concepts in mathematics and programming - time, speed and conditionals.

The workshop covers

Understanding programming as giving a list of commands
Understanding key mathematics and science concepts (time, speed, intensity)
Understanding concepts in programming (event driven, repeat)
Understanding the use of computer and robots in real world

What to bring: An iPad (optional), and a mindset to create and experiment

*Please note, for each ticket it will be for 1 workshop per family. And the ticket fee will be refunded when you sign up for a First Code Camp/Term class
