Lamma Fisherfolk's Village



Lamma Fisherfolk’s Village is a showcase of the local fisherfolk culture and the history of fishery industry in the Hong Kong.

 

There is no doubt that the fishermen’s contribution cannot be put aside for the development of Hong Kong from a small fishing village to a metropolis. Going in pace with the giant wheel of time, many of the traditional culture and lifestyle have been lost and forgotten. 

Visitor can learn and appreciate the heritages and livings of the boat community of Hong Kong. 

  • Enjoy the beautiful nature of the Sok Kwu Wan bay area and savour world renowned seafood dishes
  • Visit the authentic fishing junk and take an inside look of the home of fisherfolk family
  • Learn the daily life of the floating indigenous of Hong Kong in the Exhibition Hall

This natural setting combines local history with hands-on activities for kids and adults. Occupying an area of over 20,000 square foot, the Village comprises authentic fishing junk, traditional dragon boats, an exhibition hall, themed folklore booths, fishing rafts, and dwellings.

Please note the Fisherfolk Village is closed between January 8 and 12 for regular maintenance.
