Lo Wu Saddle Club is a large independently operated riding school based near Sheung Shui in Hong Kong's New Territories.
Lo Wu Saddle Club is a non-profit organisation run entirely for the benefit of members and has a long history as one of the leading equestrian facilities in Hong Kong. British Horse Society accredited team of instructors offers lessons in English and Chinese to riders of all levels of experience - from those taking their very first lesson to those seeking professional qualifications or competing at the highest levels in Hong Kong.
With such a wide range of training on offer, Lo Wu Saddle Club needs horses and ponies to match. The yard of more than 40 equines ranges from lead-rein ponies through to dressage, jumping and cross-country competition horses.
Lessons
Lo Wu Saddle Club provides both group and private lessons.
- Group lessons are all tailored around the ability of the participants; there will always be a group suitable to your age and skill level. Group lessons are 45 minutes long and are usually limited to a maximum of six riders.
- Private lessons of 30 or 45 minutes duration with a single instructor allow a session to be tailored to a person’s specific level or requirements. Semi-private lessons are also available involving two riders and one instructor.
Pony camps
Lo Wu Saddle Club regularly offers pony camps for the benefit of younger riders. These give opportunities both to ride and to learn how to care for ponies under the guidance of qualified instructors. The camp will often end with mounted games or a competition of an appropriate type.
