Opera Hong Kong is the first opera company to have been established in Hong Kong.
The company was formed in July 2003 by internationally acclaimed Hong Kong tenor Warren Mok and a group of opera lovers. Opera Hong Kong is committed to enhancing the appreciation of opera in the city and promoting local musical talent through not only staging operas and concerts but also offering educational programmes to reach younger audiences.
Opera Hong Kong Chorus and Opera Hong Kong Children Chorus were established in 2004 and 2008 respectively and are becoming recognised forces in the local choral scene.
K. Wah Opera Hong Kong Summer School
K. Wah Opera Hong Kong Summer School is organized each year to offer youngsters an opportunity to perform lively repertoire full of musical worth and humour. We hope the participants can have their creativity and observation, expression, analytical and appreciation skills enhanced through such summer school training.
