As part of the UK government’s global Great Britain Campaign and to celebrate the GREAT Festival of Innovation in Hong Kong, the British Consulate-General partners with the city’s top restaurants and chefs, and the Wine & Spirit Trade Association, to showcase the spectacular range and quality of Britain’s delectable produce.
The Food is Great campaign kicks off from 21 March in 18 restaurants across Hong Kong. During the promotion campaign, will be serving 4 special British dishes as below:
- Salt-Baked Beetroot Lancashire Cheddar, Toasted Sunflower Seeds, Smoked Oil - $168
- Pan Fried Fillet of Stone Bass Asparagus, Morels Mushrooms, Butter Sauce - $388
- Rhug Estate Organic Lamb Porterhouse Black Garlic Puree, Goat Cheese, Glazed Carrots - $ 458
- The Idea of Banoffee Pie (Dulcey Chocolate Ganache, Banana Passion Fruit Ice Cream) - $ 98
From 21 March – 2 April, all guests dining on the Great British Menu at any partnering restaurant can enter a competition to win a trip for two to the UK. Simply snap a photo of your experience:
- tag @TradeGovUKHK and the restaurant,
- add hashtag #GreatBritishMenuHK,
- share it on Instagram,
- and the best post will be chosen by the UK Department for International Trade in Hong Kong to receive:
- a pair of round-trip tickets to the UK courtesy of British Airways
- a two-night stay at South Lodge Hotel in Sussex
- a vineyard tour and tasting close to the hotel at Ridgeview.
